Who is MEllu?

I am Mellu– an entrepreneur, coach, and a person of action.

I have dedicated my life to helping people and communities achieve their dreams and make bold choices.

But above all, I am also a person who truly understands the complexity of life. I have been a caregiver for both of my parents, accompanying them on their final journey while also navigating the busiest years of my life and raising my family. This fall, my little one will start preschool, and I also have children who are on the verge of adulthood or already adults. I know what it’s like to balance family, responsibilities, and personal well-being.

I also understand how difficult it can be to grow up in challenging circumstances and how crucial it is to receive support at the right time. I was fortunate to find people through my hobbies who helped me thrive. Inspired by this experience, I founded the Dream Spark Camp for young people from low-income families, giving them the opportunity to discover their own path and build the confidence and courage they need in life. Next summer will mark the fifth Dream Spark Camp, and nearly 500 young people have already had the chance to pursue their dreams and shape their future.

I work in both the business world and the sports industry, bringing strategic thinking, goal orientation, and strong leadership into development work.

Entrepreneurship is more than just work for me – it’s a way of thinking and acting. I founded Rokmind because I wanted to help organizations and individuals build clear strategies and a strong leadership culture. Businesses do not succeed by chance; they must have a clear direction, concrete goals, and the ability to make decisions that will carry them far into the future.

In sports, I have seen what true high-level success requires. I was involved in building the Youth Lions' World Championship gold teams in 2014 and 2016, as well as the Porin Ässät Finnish championship in 2013. Each of these experiences taught me that achieving success requires a clear goal, mental control, and the team's shared commitment. I apply this same mindset in business and individual coaching as well.

I developed the Success Stairs concept, which helps individuals and organizations clarify their goals and create a clear path to achieve them. Tammi Publishers released my book on this topic, and my concept has been applied in sports, businesses, and personal coaching.

The success of businesses and communities does not arise from individual decisions, but from strong and consistent leadership. I have coached hundreds of organizations to develop their strategies and implement changes that do not remain just plans, but result in tangible outcomes.

Youth is not easy for everyone – especially when facing financial or social challenges. I wanted to do something concrete about this, so I founded the Dream Spark Camp, which gives young people from low-income families the opportunity to discover their strengths, set goals, and receive support to achieve them. Next summer, the camp will be held for the fifth time, and nearly 500 young people have gained strength and direction in their lives from it.

As a caregiver and someone who has experienced the busy years of life, I know how life can sometimes require extreme flexibility from us – and how important it is to have the right kind of support around us. This understanding is reflected in all my work and my approach to coaching, leadership, and social development.

This is my story – and at the same time, it tells why I want to be involved in building a better future for us all.
